Imagine It Africa is calling on passionate African youth to submit their groundbreaking, socially impactful business ideas for the 2025 cohort. Here’s everything you need to know to join the movement.

Submission Window

All ideas must be submitted during this timeframe via our secure online submission portal (link to be provided).

Key Milestones & Timeline

Who Can Submit?

African youth aged 18–35

Individuals or teams with original, innovative, and scalable business ideas

Must address socioeconomic or environmental challenges in African communities

Must be the original creator or legal owner of the idea (intellectual property must be protected)

How to Submit Your Idea

Your idea should be presented as a 15-minute video pitch and submitted through our online portal.

What Your Video Should Include:

1. Problem Statement – What challenge does your idea solve?
2. Proposed Solution – Describe your product/service and how it works.
3. Social/Environmental Impact – How does your idea make a difference?
4. Scalability – Can your idea grow beyond your local community?
5. Sustainability – Is your business model long-lasting?
6. Personal Motivation – Why are you the one to lead this?

Your video can be submitted in any one of the following:

English

Spanish

French

Portuguese

Swahili

Arabic

Translation support will be available during evaluations.

Submission Fee

A non-refundable fee of USD $100 is required upon video upload. Secure online payment options will be provided within the portal.

Intellectual Property Protection

Participants maintain complete ownership rights over their submitted ideas.
We strongly advise securing your intellectual property rights in your country before submission.
Participants will need to upload proof of IP registration or ownership.
By submitting, you confirm legal ownership and indemnify Imagine It Africa against any IP-related claims.

Community Voting + Expert Review

Your idea will go through a dual selection process:

Public Voting via SMS – Engage your community to vote for your idea.
Expert Panel Review – A panel of professionals will evaluate submissions for impact, innovation, and feasibility.

The top 54 ideas will be selected for funding, mentorship, and public recognition.

All votes are verified through secure SMS systems to ensure fairness.
